Riaperte scuole in Sri Lanka dopo quasi sei mesi di lockdown

The Sri Lankan government reopened the primary section schools on 25 October 2021, after nearly six months of lockdown as per the second phase of school reopening. The Indian Ocean island nation prepares for a full reopening of all schools, universities, and higher education institutes in an effort to avoid a slump in the education system in the country. Education institutions have been closed for nearly six months of strict restrictions due to the spread of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19). Meanwhile, Sri Lankan School teachers and principals are currently on strike for nearly 100 days demanding solutions to their long-standing salary issues.
