Avenida and located in Havana's Miramar neighborhood, is run by
American hospitality giant Starwood. The establishment,
operating with its new name, was announced last March on the eve
of US President Barack Obama's visit to the Island. It is the
first hotel run by a US chain in Cuba in more than 50 years.
