(ANSA) - ROMA, 28 NOV - epa10334145 Abandoned fishing boats, in Niteroi, near Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on 23 November 2022,(issued 28 November 2022). The Guanabara Bay, which bathes Rio de Janeiro, has become a cemetery for abandoned ships, which threatens the environment and creates risks to navigation and the infrastructures that surround it. Abandoned ships and the metal tips of the hulls of already sunken ships are visible in different areas of this 412-square-kilometre bay, which is world famous for the Sugarloaf Mountain at one end.
