Addestramento per salvare i mammiferi marini a Banda Aceh

(ANSA) - ROMA, 02 NOV - epa09558882 Volunteers and students use an inflatable dummy during a training to rescue marine mammals washed ashore, on Ule Lheue beach, Banda Aceh, Indonesia, 02 November 2021. The World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) Indonesia in collaboration with the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of Aceh Syiah Kuala University held a training on techniques for handling stranded mammals on the beach that is intended for first responders, such as veterinarians, students and related parties who will find a situation where marine mammals are stranded in coastal areas. According to the Indonesia Directorate of Marine Biodiversity and Conservation, a total of 173 cases of stranded marine mammals have been recorded in Indonesia from 2020 to February 2021.
