New Vilnius-Riga railway line inaugurated

Two Baltic capitals to be connected in just over four hours

(ANSA) - BELGRADE, DEC 27 - Today marks the official opening of the international railway link between Vilnius and Riga. The Prime Ministers of Lithuania, Ingrida Simonyte, and Latvia, Evika Silina, will meet in Riga to celebrate the opening of the line along with their respective Transport ministers, Marius Skuodis and Kaspars Briskens. The new line will be inaugurated after a year of planning and will connect the two Baltic capitals in just over four hours. (ANSA).
