(ANSA) - TRIESTE, 04 LUG - Wizz Air yesterday inaugurated the
new route between Trieste and Tirana. For Wizz Air this is the
first connection from Trieste, which has become the 27th
destination in Italy. The new Wizz Air route between Trieste and
Tirana will be operated twice a week: on Mondays and Fridays,
with the new ("one of the most sustainable", the company
emphasizes) 239-seat Airbus A321NEO aircraft. Tamara Nikiforova,
Corporate Communications Manager of Wizz Air Group, emphasized
that the airline offers "now more than 20 routes between the two
countries: the Wizz Air aircraft departing from Trieste provide
additional choice for passengers, whom we are ready to welcome
aboard our efficient and sustainable aircraft." Marco Consalvo,
CEO of Trieste Airport reported that "Tirana and our territory
are finally directly connected thanks to Wizz Air: this flight
is crucial for the Albanian community living in Friuli Venezia
Giulia and represents new opportunities to develop trade and
