(ANSA) - BELGRADE, JUN 22 - For the Connecting Europe
Facility Programme, the European Commission has approved and
allocated over 400 million euros to ten Italian projects on the
Ten-T networks. A substantial portion of the funds (350 million
euros) is designated for the Brenner Base Tunnel, one of the
most important projects on the Ten-T Corridors map as a whole.
This was announced by the Italian Infrastructures Ministry in a
statement. The project has a total cost of over 2 billion euros,
to which must be added the additional 700 million euros approved
yesterday and allocated equally to Italy and Austria. (ANSA).
