Legendary film director Bulajic dies at 97

He directed "Battle of the Neretva"

(ANSA) - BELGRADE, APR 3 - Veljko Bulajic, one of the greatest Yugoslav film directors of all time, died at the age of 97, his family members told the Croatian daily Vecernji list.
    Bulajic, born in 1928, was successful both domestically and internationally, particularly with World War II-themed films and the Partisan film genre. His film, "Battle of the Neretva," was nominated for an Oscar in 1970. "Kozara," "Train without a timetable," "Assassination in Sarajevo," and "Battle on the Neretva" are among the most watched films in the former Yugoslavia, according to regional television station N1. (ANSA).
