(ANSA) - ROME, NOV 22 - Russia can restore peace to Ukraine
by withdrawing from the neighbour it invaded 18 months ago,
Premier Giorgia Meloni told the G20 Wednesday. Russia could
easily restore peace in Ukraine at any time by withdrawing from
the illegally occupied territories and re-establishing Ukraine's
sovereignty and full territorial integrity, Meloni said in her
speech at the G20 summit. As Palazzo Chigi sources report, the
premier expressed renewed condemnation of Moscow's actions,
"also for their global consequences and the damage they have
caused to poorer nations". Meloni took part in the virtual G20
summit in a video link from Berlin with German Chancellor Olaf
Scholz by her side. (ANSA).
