(ANSA) - ROME, JUN 6 - A meeting between papal peace envoy
Cardinal Matteo Zuppi and President Violodymyr Zelensky in Kyiv
Tuesday was important in analysing the political and
humanitarian situation in Ukraine, Apostolic Nuncio in Kyiv
Visvaldas Kulbokas said after the meet. Kulbokas said the talks
had been "sincere, cordial and important". He said the Cardinal,
who is also bishop of Bologna and chair of the Italian Bishops
Conference (CEI), "was very grateful for the attention and for
an important conversation aimed at grasping the thoughts and
reflections on the situation of politics and humanitarian
possibilities in Ukraine, on which he will then have to reflect
together with the Holy Father." Monsignor Kulbokas was speaking
to journalists, including ANSA, in front of the nunciature in
Kyiv where Zuppi was staying. (ANSA).
