US and EU 'deeply concerned' about north of Kosovo

(ANSA) - BELGRADE, JUN 6 - "We are deeply concerned about the situation in the north and call for immediate de-escalation on the ground, early elections with the participation of Kosovo Serbs and return to Dialogue on normalisation," the EU Special Representative for the Belgrade-Pristina Dialogue and other Western Balkan regional issues Miroslav Lajcak wrote on Twitter today.

Lajcak and Gabriel Escobar, US Deputy Assistant Secretary for the Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs and Special Representative to the Western Balkans are travelling this week to Belgrade and Pristina to try to defuse the tensions in the north of Kosovo. (ANSA).
