(ANSA) - UDINE, 17 MAG - The aim of the business mission to
Sofia and Plovdiv, in which a delegation of the Young
Entrepreneurs Group of Confindustria Udine took part, was to get
to know the investment and cooperation opportunities in
Bulgaria. And the mission, Confindustria reported in a
statement, "fully achieved its objective considering the high
quality of the institutional and economic meetings held, and as
it was the first time that a group of young entrepreneurs from
Italy visited their counterparts in Bulgaria, the three-day
event represented a significant moment for the entire Italian
system."
The mission program started with the 'Country Presentation'
held at the UniCredit Bulbank International Center in Sofia.
After the initial welcome greetings by Andrea Contò, president
of GGI Bulgaria, Giovanni Martinelli, vice-president of
Confindustria Bulgaria, Giuseppina Zarra, ambassador of Italy in
Sofia, and Luca Pangaro, advisor of GGI in Udine, speeches
followed to describe to Italian entrepreneurs the development
opportunities for businesses that the country offers. The
meeting then continued with several B2Bs in which some 60
companies participated. The following day, the Udine GGI
delegation moved to the industrial area of Plovdiv for company
visits to Kuminiano Fruit-Gruppo Santorelli and Bullteck.
Italy's ambassador to Sofia, Giuseppina Zarra, received the
two Young Entrepreneurs Groups from Bulgaria and Udine. During
the meeting, she presented investment opportunities in Bulgaria,
outlining the political and economic situation in the country
and emphasizing the excellent bilateral relations between Italy
and Bulgaria. She then recalled the well-established Italian
presence in Bulgaria, highlighting the growth in the number of
companies with Italian participation, which in August 2022
reached more than 13,000 companies compared to 12,000 in 2021.
The ambassador pointed out that the Unicredit Group has just
signed an agreement with the European Investment Fund, which has
granted two guarantees worth 370 million euros to promote
investments by SMEs in seven European countries, including
Bulgaria. (ANSA).
