(ANSA) - BELGRADE, 07 FEB - EU Special Envoy Miroslav Lajcak,
after yesterday's talks in Pristina and Belgrade, said he was
satisfied that the Kosovo side accepted in principle the
agreement plan proposed by the European Union and announced the
continuation of the dialogue with a high-level meeting. "I was
in Pristina, where I met with Prime Minister Albin Kurti and his
deputy Besnik Bislimi, and in Belgrade, where I talked to
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and (the head of the Serbian
Government Office for Kosovo) Petar Petkovic. I am pleased that
Kosovo has accepted, in principle, the EU proposal. We will
continue our talks in a meeting at another level," Lajcak said,
quoted by Serbian media. Kurti called the European agreement
plan an excellent basis for continuing negotiations. Vucic, for
his part, said last night that he had "frank and friendly" talks
with Lajcak. Yesterday's mission was the European mediator's
tenth visit to Pristina and Belgrade since last September as
part of the intensification of international diplomatic activity
to facilitate an agreement on the Kosovo crisis. (ANSA).
