(ANSA) - BELGRADE, FEB 7 - "In our opinion, the current
asylum system is broken, and it primarily benefits cynical human
traffickers who profit from the misfortunes of women, men, and
children," the governments of Denmark, Lithuania, Latvia,
Estonia, Slovakia, Greece, Malta, and Austria wrote to the
Commission and Council presidents on the eve of the
extraordinary council.
"We urge the Commission to present a comprehensive European
approach for all migration routes, with the goal of addressing
pull factors, including through necessary legal and technical
adjustments." (ANSA).
