(ANSA) - TRIESTE, JAN 16 - Five meetings will take place in
Trieste to spread the knowledge of illustrated literature for
children in the Croatian language. This goal is the core of
"Misevi, mačke, hese i oblaci" (Mice, cats, and clouds), an
initiative to promote reading and knowledge of Croatian
literature and language as a cultural heritage of the area,
organized by the Municipality of Trieste in collaboration with
the local Croatian Community, under the patronage of the
Ministry of Science, Education, and Sport of the Republic of
Croatia.
The exhibition will open on Wednesday, 18 January, at the
Quarantotti Gambini library in Trieste, with "Mice and cats
upside down" (Miševi i mačke naglavačke, Znanje 1994), written
by Luko Paljetak. The five meetings in the San Giacomo municipal
library will be animated by Marijana Šutić Pavlicevich, teacher
of Croatian language and literature, poet and translator,
curator of the initiative, and Claudia Giordani, head of the
Quarantotti Gambini Library. The program will end in May.
Admission to all appointments is free but needs a reservation by
calling the Quarantotti Gambini Library. (ANSA).
