(ANSA) - TRIESTE, 27 GIU - Contemporary circus, show and
street art performances and workshops spread over five days
(July 5 to 9) in Muggia (Trieste) and which over the years has
attracted 50 thousand spectators and artists from all over the
world. It is the Muja Buskers Festival, organized by the
Sparpagliati Association whose 7th edition includes some 50
events in different venues in Muggia including the Chapiteau big
circus tent, the Verdi Theater, and the library gardens.
Produced with contributions from the Ministry of Culture, the
Fvg Region and the Municipality of Muggia, the Muja Buskers
Festival attracts spectators from all over northern Italy, and
from neighboring Austria, Slovenia and Croatia.
The idea of the Festival, explains Sparpagliati Association
president Anna Zecchini, is "to reinvent public spaces, to
create bridges between live performances and active
associationism, in the maintenance of art and culture as a
common heritage usable by all generations."
New in this edition is an event on Saturday, July 1, in
Gorizia with Circolo Gong and Circolo Eventualmente, as part of
the run-up to Gorizia-Nova Gorica European Capital of Culture
2025.
Appointments of note include juggling and acrobatics shows
such as "Laerte" (an Italy-France production), "Curtain Call"
(Germany), "Mr. Dyvinetz" (Chile) and "El Goma" (Argentina).
