(ANSA) - PESCARA, 19 MAG - The Krakow Philharmonic Orchestra
will perform the piece 'Fides' from 'Pilecki's Suite' by
historian and composer Marco Patricelli at the opening of a
concert to mark the 50th anniversary of the priesthood of
Metropolitan Archbishop Marek Jedraszewski. The show will take
place on May 20 at 6 p.m. in Krakow.
'Fides' for strings and percussion is the sixth symphonic
framework of the poem 'Pilecki's Suite,' which was performed in
its entirety for the first time on Remembrance Day on January 26
by the orchestra of the 'Luisa d'Annunzio' Conservatory of Music
in Pescara under the baton of Adriano Melchiorre, in the

occupation, volunteer in Auschwitz, fighter during the Warsaw
Uprising of 1944, a martyr for freedom from communism.
He was the first to produce a report on the German
extermination camp, the criminals, and the beginning of the
Shoah. May 25 marks the 75th anniversary of Pilecki's killing by
communisApril 26ities; April 26 marks the 80th anniversary of
