(ANSA) - BELGRADE, 18 FEB - The latest developments in the
Kosovo crisis, with the European settlement plan and the new
summit meeting as part of the dialogue between Belgrade and
Pristina scheduled to take place in Brussels at the end of
February, were among the central topics of talks Serbian
President Aleksandar Vucic had between yesterday and today in
Munich on the sidelines of the annual security conference.
Quoted in the media, Vucic referred in particular to the meeting
he had with EU High Representative Josep Borrell. A
conversation, he said, that was not easy and in which the head
of European diplomacy returned to criticize Serbia for its
refusal to join the Western sanctions regime against Russia.
Vucic also had brief meetings in the Bavarian capital with U.S.
Secretary of State Antony Blinken, French President Emmanuel
Macron and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, with whom he spoke not
only about Kosovo but also about Serbia's prospects for European
integration and the strengthening of bilateral relations. At
Borrell's invitation, Vucic will meet Kosovo Prime Minister
Albin Kurti on Feb. 27 in Brussels in a new round of
negotiations at the highest level as part of the EU-facilitated
dialogue.
Meetings that Kosovar Premier Albin Kurti had today on the
sidelines of the Munich conference with German Chancellor Olaf
Scholz and French Foreign Minister Catherine Colonna also
focused on the same issues.
According to Serbian media, Kurti -- thanking Germany and
France for their continued support for Kosovo -- emphasized
Pristina's commitment to continuing the dialogue with Belgrade
having as a goal good neighborly relations in the region and
integration into the EU and NATO. (ANSA).
