(ANSA) - BELGRADE, OCT 20 - The battery-electric car market
share reached 14.8% in September, up from 14.1% the previous
year, data from ACEA show. Battery-electric vehicles surpassed
diesel vehicles for the third time this year, making them the
third-most popular choice among new car buyers. Hybrid-electric
vehicles remained the second most popular option, accounting for
a sizable 27.3% of the market.
EU battery-electric car registrations increased 14.3% in
September 2023, reaching 127,149 units, or 14.8% of the market.
Germany, the largest market, fell however by a significant
28.6%, which could be attributed to the reduction of incentives
for private buyers beginning in September. (ANSA).
