(ANSA) - BELGRADE, AUG 18 - "Austria and Germany are
neighbours, friends, and partners. We want to deepen our
bilateral cooperation and advance the corridor that will ensure
the supply of gas and hydrogen from the south," German
Chancellor Olaf Scholz said on X after meeting with Austrian
Chancellor Karl Nehammer in Salzburg. The "South H2 Corridor"
route is to run from Tunisia and Algeria via Italy and Austria
to Bavaria, the Austrian news agency APA reported. According to
the website, the project is supported by the Austrian Ministry
of Climate, OMV, Verbund and VoestAlpine, among others. (ANSA).
