Young musicians from central Europe on a tour across borders

(ANSA) - TRIESTE, 18 SET - Forty young musicians, chosen among the best talents from institutions of higher music education in Central Europe and Ukraine, will be the protagonists of the fall tour "Beyond the Borders" of the Ceman Orchestra.
    Coming from nine countries and ten different music academies, the youngsters will be performing in three concerts scheduled at the multimedia center in Rovinj (Croatia) on September 22, at the Miela Theater in Trieste on September 23, and at the Grožnjan Castle (Croatia) on September 24.
    The project, coordinated by the Tartini Conservatory of Trieste with the Central European Initiative, has been joined by the academies of higher music education in Chisinau (Moldova), Banja Luka (Bosnia), Belgrade and Novi Sad (Serbia), Bucharest (Romania), Kyiv (Ukraine), Ljubljana (Slovenia), Zagreb (Croatia), Cetinje (Montenegro) and Trieste.
    The fall tour was presented today during a meeting, and the organizers remarked on the role of music as a tool for peace.
    "Music is always a harbinger of peace, and we will always continue to emphasize this and shout it louder than any war situation. This tour is an opportunity for growth and training even for children, but also a chance to meet academies in central Europe" said Tartini director Sandro Torlontano.
    The concert program focuses on three masterpieces from the Classical and Romantic repertoires. It begins with Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and the Overture KV 486 from "L'impresario Teatrale. This will be followed by the Concerto in E minor for Violin and Orchestra Op. 64 by Felix Mendelssohn, in which Moldovan soloist Ion Mosneaga will perform. The performance will end with the Symphony No. 2 in D major op. 36 by Ludwig van Beethoven. The orchestra will be conducted by Denis Ceausov from Moldova. (ANSA).
