Germany's inflation rate +2.9% in January 2024

(ANSA) - BELGRADE, FEB 9 - Germany's inflation rate, as measured by the year-on-year change in the consumer price index (CPI), was +2.9% in January 2024, according to the German statistical office Destatis. In December 2023, inflation was +3.7%, while in November 2023, it was +3.2%. The last time inflation was lower than in January 2024 was in June 2021, when it was 2.4%. "The rate of inflation slowed at the beginning of the year," said Ruth Brand, President of the Federal Statistical Office. (ANSA).
