(ANSA) - BELGRADE, MAR 13 - The NGO Youth Initiative for
Human Rights (YIHR) has requested the removal of murals and
graffiti depicting and supporting Bosnian Serb wartime military
chief Ratko Mladic in ten cities and towns across Serbia,
according to regional television station N1.
According to a press release from that regional NGO network,
local communal services are required to remove images of Mladic
and other convicted war criminals, as well as other hate-based
graffiti, such as the Z, which shows support for Russia's
invasion of Ukraine. It stated that 308 requests were filed
based on reports from locals during the NGO network's mural
mapping campaign, which took place between September and
December 2022. (ANSA).
