(ANSA) - BELGRADE, MAR 8 - The Slovenian Foreign Policy
Committee voted against a resolution proposed by the opposition
Democrats (SDS) that would have designated Russia as a state
sponsor of terrorism, according to the Slovenian news agency
STA. The European Parliament passed a similar resolution in
November. The proposal was immediately rejected by the ruling
coalition. According to STA, Foreign Minister Tanja Fajon stated
that any attempt to include Russia on a list of countries that
support terrorism would be tantamount to punishing the entire
Russian nation. (ANSA).
