(ANSA) - TRIESTE, 25 MAR - "Twenty-nine new projects have been financed through Interreg Italy-Slovenia funds through the call for Standard Projects: the sectors awarded with the subsidies include technological innovation in railway procedures for crossing the border between Italy and Slovenia, advanced and sustainable approaches to prevent soil erosion, interventions for the control, mitigation, and management of blue crab with a cross-border approach.
This plan was announced by Friuli Venezia Giulia's Councillor for Finance, Barbara Zilli, who, not later than Thursday, brought the FVG executive's greetings to the Monitoring Committee of the Interreg Italy-Slovenia Program meeting in Cividale del Friuli (Udine).
"All the projects on the ranking list," Zilli explained, "are excellent and answer the specific needs of a territory that expresses new and stimulating opportunities given the virtuous cooperation between our region and Slovenia." "The Interreg between Italy and Slovenia is a significant program for our territory, and we will support its continuation and future implementation after 2027," the Councillor for Finance said.
Zilli then pointed out that through the Interreg Program, the Region aims to contribute to the growth of a sizeable cross-border area "whose international vocation is a lever for our community development and growth." (ANSA).
