(ANSA) - BELGRADE, MAR 4 - According to official data,
Slovenian police processed 2,492 illegally crossing the national
border in January, more than three times the number in January
2022, according to the Slovenian news agency STA. Afghanistan
was the primary source country, accounting for one-fifth of all
illegal migrants, followed by India, Morocco, and Russia. STA
reported that nearly all illegal migrants (2,398) expressed a
desire to seek international protection in Slovenia. (ANSA).
