Thousands in Slovakia remember journalist Kuciak

(ANSA) - BELGRADE, FEB 21 - Thousands of people in Slovakia and abroad commemorated the six-year-old murder of journalist Jan Kuciak and his girlfriend Martina Kusnirova today through a variety of activities. The organisers of the 'For a Dignified Slovakia' initiative have condemned new verbal attacks by politicians on journalists, in an atmosphere reminiscent of that preceding the murder of Kuciak, who in his articles hypothesised links between organised crime and politicians. "Slovakia is once again fighting for the rule of law and democracy," said journalist Jan Silhan. (ANSA).
