Green light from EU Council to Growth plan for the Balkans

(ANSA) - BELGRADE, MAY 7 - The EU Council today approved the creation of a reform and growth instrument for the Western Balkans, a new tool to support EU-related reforms and regional economic growth. The Facility is the financial backbone of the so-called Western Balkans Growth Plan. It will run from 2024 to 2027 and is expected to provide up to €2 billion in grants and €4 billion in loans to the EU's six Western Balkan partners over the next several years. (ANSA).
