(ANSA) - BELGRADE, MAY 8 - In Serbia, beginning today and for
one month until June 8th, anyone in possession of unregistered
and unlawfully held guns and ammunition can surrender them to
authorities without incurring criminal or other consequences.
The Ministry of the Interior has made a call for such firearms
to be surrendered, emphasizing that individuals who do so within
this time frame would not suffer any sanctions or be required to
justify the provenance of the weapons. All sorts of firearms,
both automatic and non-automatic, as well as various types of
ammunition, mines, grenades, and other explosive devices, are
subject to surrender. (ANSA).
