(ANSA) - BRUSSELS, FEB 16 - "On January 26, the European
Commission European closed the infringement proceeding against
Poland over so-called Lgbt ideology-free zones.' A spokesman for
the EU executive told ANSA, specifying that the EC "will
continue to monitor developments on the ground."
"The commission launched the infringement proceeding in July
2021 because Poland did not respond properly to the request for
information on the nature and impact of these areas."
"The Polish authorities have since provided the requested
information'' explaining that "many 'Lgbt ideology-free zones'
have been revoked or declared null and void by the
administrative court." (ANSA).
