(ANSA) - BELGRADE, FEB 22 - According to international media,
Russian President Vladimir Putin revoked a 2012 decree that
supported Moldova's sovereignty in resolving the future of
Transdniestria, a Moscow-backed separatist region bordering
Ukraine where Russia maintains troops. The Kremlin website's
order revoking the 2012 document states that it was done to
"ensure the national interests of Russia in connection with the
profound changes taking place in international relations".
