(ANSA) - BELGRADE, MAR 6 - Also in Croatia, confirming a
global trend, there is a shortage of the drug Ozempic, which is
primarily intended for people with diabetes but is increasingly
being used by people who simply want to lose weight, according
to Croatian media. According to media reports, Croats are
traveling to neighboring Slovenia to obtain "weight loss
medicine," of which there appears to be no shortage. According
to the daily Jutarnji List, the main reason for the shortage on
the Croatian domestic market is that the drug is very popular
among overweight people, and up to 80% of the drug was sold
privately in pharmacies, according to people they spoke with.
