EU condemns Lukashenko, supports democratic forces: Michel

(ANSA-AFP) - BELGRADE, AUG 9 - The EU "condemns Lukashenko's continued brutal oppression and supports democratic forces in Belarus," Charles Michel, the President of the European Council, said today. "Today marks the anniversary of the 2020 falsified and non-legitimate presidential elections in Belarus, followed by a draconian crackdown against human rights defenders and pro-freedom Belarusians," Michel remarked.
