(ANSA) - BRUSSELS, FEB 22 - "It is not an exaggeration to say
that European history is living its key moment; the future of
Europe is being decided on the battlefields in Ukraine and the
Belarusian underground resistance." So the leader of the
Belarusian opposition Svetlana Tikhanovskaya said in her address
to the European Economic and Social Committee plenary session
underway in Brussels.
'The question is, will we Europeans defend fundamental rights
and freedom, or will we let tyrannies gain the upper hand,'
Tikhanovskaya added. (ANSA).
