(ANSA) - BELGRADE, MAR 21 - Climate change is reducing snow
cover in the Alps, putting Alpine vegetation, particularly
shrubs, at risk. One of the threats is the increasingly
nutrient-poor soil, which can disrupt the invisible balance
between plants and microorganisms. This is supported by a study
published in the journal Global Change Biology by a team of
British University of Manchester researchers led by Arthur
Broadbent. (ANSA).
