(ANSA) - BELGRADE, MAR 14 - "Palazzo Metternich is hosting
the Italian embassy in Vienna today; it may appear to be a
historical nemesis, but it is not," said Stefano Beltrame, the
Italian Ambassador to Austria. "The figure of Metternich should
be re-read in the context of the new European context, and, in a
sense, we can say that Metternich is returning home," Beltrame
said as he opened the conference "Clemens von Metternich from
the Congress of Vienna to European integration" at the Italian
Cultural Institute in Vienna. (ANSA).
