(ANSA) - ROME, MAY 5 - A controversial new package of
measures on labour including tax cuts for low earners, an easing
of limitations to renewing temporary job contracts and two new
anti-poverty benefits to replace the citizenship-wage
minimum-income benefit came into force following publication in
the official gazzette on Friday.
The law decree was approved by the government on May 1, the
Labour Day public holiday. (ANSA).
