(ANSA) - ROME, MAY 28 - The Iranian embassy in Rome has mounted a security camera on a gallows post outside the building, the centre-left Democratic Party (PD) said Sunday calling the action a "clear act of intimidation" against opponents of the regime.
"The Iranian embassy in Rome has mounted a camera above a gallows. This is a clear intimidation against those demonstrating outside the embassy. The Italian government will not tolerate this disgrace and will make itself heard with unequivocal words," said Lia Quartapelle, PD deputy chair on the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Lower House.
"Immediately summon the ambassador. Intolerable outrage.
Demonstrate. This horror is unbearable," added PD senator Filippo Sensi on Twitter. (ANSA).
