(ANSA) - ROME, JAN 28 - Italian fencing great and Sports Undersecretary Valentina Vezzali has tested positive for COVID-19 and will have to skip the opening ceremony of he Beijing Winter Olympics next Friday, government sources told ANSA Friday.
Six-time Olympic and 16-time world champ Vezzali was due to represent Italy at the ceremony.
She will be replaced by Italian Ambassador in Beijing Luca Ferrari. (ANSA).
