(ANSA) - Rome, February 5 - The transport ministry said
Tuesday an Italian government-commissioned cost/benefit analysis
on the high-speed rail (TAV) line between Turin and Lyon was
handed to French Ambassador to Italy Christian Masset as agreed
by French and Italian transport ministers Elisabeth Borne and
Danilo Toninelli, ahead of its validation and publication by the
Italian government.
The ministry said this was the starting point for dialogue
between the two executives.
"A bilateral meeting will shortly be set up," the ministry
said.
According to leaks by Toninelli's 5-Star Movement (M5S), the
analysis is expected to come out against the project.
