(ANSA) - Rome, February 1 - Italy's new ambassador to Libya,
Giuseppe Maria Buccino Grimaldi, arrived in Tripoli on Friday,
the embassy said in a tweet.
Buccino, who was already ambassador there from 2011 to 2015,
was designated in December and replaces Giuseppe Perrone, who
left the Libyan capital last summer.
"I return to this suffering and wonderful land with great
emotion, confident of the gradual affirmation of peace, justice
and prosperity," Buccino said in a foreign ministry tweet.
