(ANSA) - Berlin, January 18 - Italy and Germany should work
together for growth, Chancellor Angela Merkel told visiting
President Sergio Mattarella on Friday.
Showing some concern over the latest German GDP figures,
Merkel said Germany's main concern was that the EU may remain
marginal in the global context.
Merkel and Mattarella shared concerns on threats to
multilateralism, China-US relations, and agreed on the need to
preserve transatlantic ties.
