Pope meets Irish president

(ANSA) - Vatican City, May 22 - Environmental protection was one of the topics at a brief audience by Pope Francis with Irish President Michael Higgins Monday, Vatican sources said.
    Higgins gave Francis a bell representing a call to protect the Earth, while the pope gave the Irish president a medallion and copies of his documents Evangelii Gaudium, Laudato si' and Amoris Laetitia.
