(ANSA) - Rome, May 31 - Anti-immigrant Northern League leader
Matteo Salvini on Tuesday accused Premier Matteo Renzi of being
an accomplice to a "massacre" of migrants in the Mediterranean.
"Renzi is an accomplice to a massacre and he is making the
Mediterranean a cemetery. A mass grave not even seen at the time
of the world wars," Salvini said as he wound up his campaign for
Brothers of Italy leader Giorgia Meloni as Rome mayor.
"He should be ashamed, keep quiet, and solve the problem,
averting these departures," said Salvini, noting there had been
13,000 migrant arrivals and more than 800 deaths in a week.
"The phenomenon, instead of talking bulls**t, he should
work to solve the problems."
