(ANSA) - New York, May 4 - The United Nations Security
Council is to hold an emergency meeting at 14:00 New York time
(20:00 in Italy) on the escalation of violence in the Syrian
city of Aleppo. Britain and France requested the meeting.
British Ambassador to the UN Matthew Rycroft said "Aleppo is in
flames, and its civilians are being killed".
