(ANSA) - ROME, JUN 9 - Pope Francis does not have a fever and his drip has been removed as he makes an apparently swift recovery from Wednesday's abdominal surgery to remove a hernia caused by a 2021 colon operation, the Vatican said Friday.
"The medical staff informs that the Pope's post-operative course continues to be regular and normal. The Holy Father is apyretic, the haemodynamic parameters are normal, he has suspended the drips and continued to feed himself with a liquid diet. In the afternoon, he gathered in prayer and devoted himself to work activities. In the evening he received the Eucharist," reported the director of the Vatican press room, Matteo Bruni. (ANSA).
