(ANSA) - ROME, MAR 30 - President of the Republic Sergio
Mattarella sent Pope Francis his "most affectionate wishes for a
very speedy recovery" on Thursday.
The head of state was speaking at an event organised by Italy's
Lega del Filo d'Oro, an organisation working for the
rehabilitation of deafblind people and those who have other
forms of severe physical and learning disabilities.
The Pope is receiving hospital treatment for a chest infection
and doctors are said to be optimistic about his condition.
