Ukraine: Pope confirms ready to broker peace

(ANSA) - ROME, NOV 28 - Pope Francis has confirmed he is ready to try to broker peace between Ukraine and Russia.
    "The Holy See's position is to seek peace and seek understanding" between the sides, Francis said in an interview with the journal of American Jesuits.
    "The Holy See's diplomacy is moving in this direction and, obviously, it is always willing to mediate.
    "I have also thought of making a trip, and i took a decision: If I travel, I'll go to Moscow and Kyiv, to both, not only to one place." The pope added: "Why don't I name Putin? Because it isn't necessary". (ANSA).
