(ANSA) - ROME, JAN 26 - Pope Francis said Wednesday he was
struggling to walk on an inflamed knee.
Speaking to the faithful at his weekly general audience, Francis
said "today I won't be able to mingle among you to greet you
because I have a problem in my right leg: a knee ligament has
become inflamed, but I will come down and greet you and you come
past and greet me".
The pontiff said "it is a passing thing".
He then smiled: "They says it only comes to old people, and I
don't know why it happened to me".
The Argentine born pope is 85. (ANSA).
