(ANSA) - ROME, DEC 2 - Pope Francis on Thursday accepted the
resignation of the archbishop of Paris, Michel Aupetit, who
tendered it after newsweekly Le Point reported he had had an
affair with a
woman in 2012.
The Paris diocese had admitted the prelate had had an
"ambiguous" relationship with the woman.
The pope named mons. Georges Pontier as interim apostolic
administrator in the French capital. (ANSA).
